ICMB to Unveil Historic New York Declaration for Men and Boys

March 6, 2025 – The International Council for Men and Boys (ICMB) is proud to announce the impending launch of the New York Declaration for Men and Boys, a pivotal document addressing critical issues affecting men and boys globally.

The March 12 launch of the New York Declaration aligns with the sixty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), taking place from March 10 to 21, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. (1) This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a significant milestone in the pursuit of gender equality for women (2).

This timing underscores ICMB’s commitment to ensuring that discussions on gender equality encompass the experiences and challenges of men and boys, promoting a holistic approach to human rights and equality. (3) The New York Declaration seeks to complement these efforts by highlighting areas where men and boys face unique challenges, including health disparities, educational underachievement, legal inequalities, and societal expectations.

ICMB will host a press conference to officially unveil the New York Declaration for Men and Boys on March 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM EST, at the Even Hotel, 221 E 44Th St. New York City, NY.  Zoom link:
